Making money with domain names.
While most people think of MLM and affiliated programs with downlines as the way money is made online, there is a few of us out there that are amassing small fortunes out of site of the public eye.
This is not an online venture for everyone. This venture requires imagination, research, timing and a bit of cash to get started.
So what is this venture? It's the buying and selling of domain names. Not any domain name either. Like picking moral mushrooms these buyers and sellers and picky.
Now there are some programs that will tell you that there is a tidy sum to be made by buying a certain type of domain. This like always is dependant on the amount to sales or referral one gets.
I see a company called GDI as in Global Domains International is the one that is spearheading the .ws domain extention. Myself I have been invited to join on more than one ocassion but have turn these opportunities down.
No, I'm not saying anything bad about these domains, it's just for myself I have to figure out how in the long term this idea will play out and how will this extention play out as time goes one. I do however buy and sell domain names but I have choosen to buy and sell only the dot com.
Why I choose dot coms.
These is an old saying, "If you are going to play the game, you have to play it right." Around domain trader circles there is a mindset that states "Not all names are created equal." Many serious buyers will only consider a name with a dot com or any of the TLD names. Top Level Domain. These names are the original 3 from way back at the start of the net. They
are .com, .net, .org. These to really serious buyers are the grandaddy of names. Classics. And they do sell for a lot of money.
I sell these names and to be very up front I have sold not hundreds, but I have sold thousands of dollars worth of good .com names.
Good dot coms will fetch thousands of dollars. One only has to take a peak at the daily activity over at Afternic.com.
I get a few people now and then that ask me for more information about this little know biz-op. I'ts relativey easy and affordable to get started. In fact this can be one of the cheapest ventures that's pays out the most, you will ever encounter on the net.

Dreaming up names is fun and OK but the real money lies in the expiring domains. This is where you want to be. Finding out which names that were registered and have been dropped. I go to Pool for up the the minute information on what domains are dropping out of circulation.
A lot of these names had websites, and websites have traffic and traffic (if you haven't figured out by now) is a precious commodity. Not including the back links that still exist. With names like that they may still be registered somewhere in some search engines. That's like money in the bank.
This is how some big quiet money is made. This is not nickles and dime stuff. This is REAL money. I have made 1 sale that gave me more in return than a lifetime of promoting some MLM program. And with 20,000 names a day dropping off the web, there is no shortgage of names to sort through.
