Progressive Business Building Plan A business plan to help people organize and run their own HBB (Home Based Business). As many things in my life I learned this by doing everything backwards- sometimes because of sheer excitement rather than enthusiasm, other times because of bad information or selfish people. Now you can benefit from my 20/20 hindsight! I am also going to write this in plain English instead of standard business since it is a getting back to basics program. Each step must be followed in order, do not skip to the next step until the first step is complete. Progressive Business Building Program (PBBP)

Progressive Business Building Program (PBBP)

1. Get a notebook and write down your name, the date and if you already have a business, the type of business you have.

2. Set up a new business only email account.

3. Write your email account in your notebook.

4. Write down why you have a business: to make a profit or to be a non-profit business.

5. Write in your notebook that you are committing to work your business at 1 hour per day 6 days per week.

6. Establish a budget, even if it is only $5.00 per week.

7. Open a checking account for your business with your budget money -ALWAYS USE THIS ACCOUNT FOR ALL BUSINESS -AND BUSINESS ONLY.

8. Order business cards: vistaprint.com

9. Open a stormpay account, they have free auctions and "Stormclix", more details at Storm Pay.

10. Label an envelope or zip lock bag "Business Expense and Income" - put everything in here all the time, write on all receipts business or personal - business tax deduction information is at www.irs.gov.

11. . Join a free advertising community AdlandPro and go to the links that explain the many different tax deductions involved with home business.

12. Daily log all of your activities, so you know what you are doing with your time.

I hope this helps - remember this is only a start up - there is more to do, but this will start generating income. Remember its OK to start small, as they say "Rome wasn't built in a day".
