Cookie Cutter Websites. Webpages of Mass Delusion. Part 2
In our last article we discussed the reason why cookie cutter websites just don't cut the dough.

Like I mentioned in the last article, if you sign up to a program that has 1000 members with a free site, how are you going to get others to YOUR site? In other words, "How do you stand out in the crowd?"
By building a landing page. But because most people are involved in more than one program it would be a wise idea to build a page for each program that you are involved in.
On these pages you could very easily tell others why you joined, how the program works, how it pays and most of all you are introducing yourself. (You are already starting to network.) All these pages could then be compiled into one site. Your Site.
How many times have you clicked on an ad to something that sounded interesting only to find a page with a form to submitt your email and name? Did you fill out the form? Chances are you didn't. But by building your own personal website with a page to each of your programs, plus a good ad campain, your odds at getting sign ups are that much better.
Your program listed everywhere?
But here is the most important reason why. Cost. Plain and simple. In order to get quality advertising, you must be prepared to pay out quality cash. Take even a one month renewal ad on Adlandpro for about $7.00 /mth. Yes your ad is rotating around just like clock work. But only on ONE site.
Whereas with a personal website, that same $7.00 can get you your own domain and a month of webhosting almost anywhere. But here's the added bonus. It's in your best interest.
If you are on top of any program and have any kind of downline, it is in your best interest to get started with a small website of your own and then get your downline doing the same.
Remember, when your downlines give up, YOU are out the cash. Plain and simple. Your so called RESIDUAL INCOME just ran out. Yes all those years of hard work, late nights, money spent. All down the drain.
What about those free webpages?
Well first of all we should see what Google has to say. Vincent Flanders, webmaster for "Webpages That Suck" has always said, "Google is god."
PageRank Number of slashes ('/') in the URLs. Pages with fewer slashes in their URLs have a higher crawling priority because they tend to change more often. In other implementations, Google uses the number of slashes ('/') in the links that point to a page. Getting a link from a page with a lot of slashes in its URL results in a smaller crawling priority number.
In plain language this would mean that www.mysite.com would have a much higher rank an crawl ratio than www.freesite.com/yoursite/homepage/myprogram.whatever.
Thinking about getting your website?
There are a lot of reasons to NOT have a site. But there are an awfull lot more reason TO have a site.
Is it too expensive? No. It's just a cost of doing business. And besides, it's "Your business".
So next time you place an ad somewhere, and click that link to make sure it take you to where you want, just ask yourself one question. Would YOU buy this program/product from this page?
