The Right Stuff.
Finding the right program
Getting involved in any program whether it be MLM, referral, an ebiz, or just having a website with an affiliate link takes some thought and planing.
With so many to choose from which one do you choose. That's is always the tough question.
If you are like me you get a lot of offers each day asking you to sign up or join. For me I started of course lately by asking the one most important question. "Are You Making Any Money?" A lot will answer back by saying "No, not yet, But I think I will." To me
think is the same as maybe. And maybe most times does not pay.
If the person says, "Yes, I am making money," I will come right out and ask them. "How Much?" Most people want to make BIG money. Hey in fact we all do. But the question I ask again is "What Must I Do To Make This Money?" And not only that but, "Is it even feasible to make that kind of money?"
Some programs to me are just plain ugly. For me they would be like trying to whip a dead horse in action.
If you are really and truly wanting to know how this thing called affiliated marketing really works, read real success stories written by real people just like you.
What I look for in any program.
1. Simplicity. There is nothing worse for me than to go to a website only to be daunted by pages and pages of information that was drafted and written out by some kind of brain surgeon. I don't care how much it pays, if I can't understand it I leave. I want to make money. Not become an undergraduate of some kind.
Let's face it. If I don't understand it, how am I going to explain it someone who signs up under me? What kind of upline is that?
I like easy stuff. Stuff that just sells itself. That is why I like payment programs. One of the programs that I got involved in and yet so many out there were down right negative about it was GreenZap. Here is a program like PayPal that gives you a 2 tier payment system plus 25 dollars just for signing up. I have made litterly hunders of dollars without even the slighest bit of promotion. Just a little text link here and there. That's what I want. Simplicity.
2. What. Very important for me. What am I selling or promoting. Is it another kind of potion or lotion or program that promotes another program or a glorified Amway with a new name? My answer is this. Would I use/buy/own this [ blank ]. Period. Don't get into selling or promoting junk that you would not agree with or buy yourself. It just doesn't sell the same. Trust me! Once again GreenZap. Easy, simple, I will use it, and so will millions of others.
3. Cost. How much? That's is always the big question for many. Because everyone want cheap or free most get exactly that. That's not to say that there are cheap priced programs that are any good. And like wise with the one you pay for. I have seen many that will cost hundreds and still be a tough sell with little chance of getting a decent ROI. For myself when I see programs that cost hundreds I usally shy away from them unless I am getting something more than just a cookie cutter website and a personal ID#.
4. Payment. How do I, as in ME, get paid. That's is why we are here. Right? Not only how do I get paid, but how much. What is the threshold payment? Do I get a cheque in the mail or thru an online system?
Who pays me? Is it the program or a third party? If you are just promoting affiliate links I recommend staying with the big names such as Commission Junction. I personally have sold leads for others and have never been paid for them. Something to be very careful of.
5. Who. Who runs the program? How long has the program been running? Who is promoting the program? How is it backed?
6. How. How long has the program been around. Whenever a new program comes out this is what is called a BETA version. With these types of programs there is no way of knowing what the out come will be. For me it boils down to this. Will the program be around in 1 year. How about 2 years. How about 5 years. How big will it become during that time frame and how much potential for profit is in it for me during that time. In other words, "Is this thing going to fly, or crash and burn."
Some like myself like to be the first in on these types because they are usally free to join. Not only that but that free time gives you the opportunity to build a downline and see first hand how this program is going to run. If you have any bad vibes coming from what you see or read, just drop out or don't pay your dues when that time comes around.
